“Bending The Lens” – Our Documentary!!!

At the 21st Annual London Lesbian Film Festival we will premiere our very own documentary, Bending The Lens.

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, the LLFF received funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to produce a documentary film to celebrate, preserve and share the 20-year history of this important piece of lesbian culture. We envisioned a short film involving volunteers of the festival, known as Reeling Spinsters, that would document the inception, growth and impact of the festival.

This documentary would not exist without the vision, determination and perseverance of Donnafaye Milton, LLFF Documentary Chair. Standing and working with her for the duration were Janet Ackland, Liesl Biebesheimer and Diane Gammon.

Director, Mary J. Daniel has given artistic direction to the film and managed its development. We are grateful for Mary’s leadership. Thanks also go to cameraperson Tracy German, Technical Assistant Sherri Plewes and our London film consultant, Kem Murch.

Bending The Lens will screen on Friday April 20th… be there with us to celebrate. We are eager for you to see our film!
